SIOUX CITY -- A Sioux City man has pleaded not guilty to robbing another man at gunpoint.

Brian Fuentes-Pacas, 18, entered his written plea Monday in Woodbury County District Court to first-degree robbery, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and drug tax stamp violation.

According to court documents, Fuentes-Pacas confronted the victim on Oct. 9 in the 200 block of 19th Street with a shotgun and ordered him to lie down on the ground. Fuentes-Pacas is accused of hitting the victim with the shotgun and taking his cellphone before fleeing on foot.

Police searched the area and located Fuentes-Pacas and the shotgun. Officers found the victim's cellphone inside Fuentes-Pacas' backpack, along with 368 grams of marijuana, which did not have a drug tax stamp affixed to it, court documents said.
