SIOUX CITY -- A Sioux City man was sentenced Monday to 12 years in federal prison for selling and overseeing the distribution of methamphetamine.
Anthony Watkins Sr., 41, had pleaded guilty in February in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and distribution of methamphetamine.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, law enforcement officers conducted a controlled buy of meth from Watkins on March 30, 2017. Watkins has admitted that from January 2016 through about August 2017, he was involved in the distribution of at least 1.5 kilograms of the drug. The U.S. Attorney's Office also cited evidence showing Watkins managed at least five other people who were selling meth.
