SIOUX CITY -- Two wanted local individuals have been taken into custody.
According to a press release, Gregory Sewalson, who was wanted by the Iowa Department of Corrections on parole violation charges, was arrested by Sioux City Police officers after he fled from a vehicle during a traffic stop. He was pursued by officers and arrested a short distance away from the traffic stop.
Travis Kotalik, who was wanted by the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office for violating his pretrial release, was arrested by Sioux City Police officers after they received a call for service at a residence in Sioux City. Kotalik fled out of the back of the house and was quickly apprehended.
Both are being held in the Woodbury County Jail.
