ROCK RAPIDS, Iowa -- A Sioux Falls, South Dakota man held at the Lyon County Jail on an unrelated charge faces an additional charge after a reported assault on a corrections officer. 

According to a press release from the Lyon County Sheriff's Department, on Thursay, 35-year-old Graylin Tanner of Sioux Falls, an inmate at the Lyon County Jail, was charged with assaulting a corrections officer, an aggravated misdemeanor.

The charge stems from an incident in which Tanner pushed an officer from behind, causing the officer to fall and injure their arm, requiring medical treatment.
