LINCOLN, Neb. | Law enforcement in Lincoln arrested a Siouxland fugitive Sunday who was being sought by the U.S. Marshals Service Northern Iowa Fugitive Task Force.
Warren Staten, 21, was captured and taken to the Lancaster County (Nebraska) Jail on Nebraska charges, the task force reported in a Monday news release.
Staten was wanted by the Woodbury County Sheriff's Office for probation violation after being convicted of failure to register as a sex offender. He is also a sex offender who is non-compliant with the Iowa sex offender registry.
Staten will be extradited back to Iowa once his Nebraska charges are disposed of, the release said.
