YANKTON, S.D. | The ban on the use of gas-powered watercraft on Lake Yankton will remain in effect, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced Tuesday.
The decision was based on several factors, including public input, according to a news release from the corps. Boating restrictions were discussed at an August public hearing at the Lewis and Clark Visitor Center in Crofton, Nebraska.
Lake Yankton is a 300-acre lake located just below Gavins Point Dam and adjacent to the Missouri River.
