Beverly J. Kehrberg, 89, of Sioux City, died on March 19, 2018, at Embassy Care Center in Sergeant Bluff.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with the Rev. Jill Clem officiating. Private family burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at

Beverly, the daughter of Arthur and Hazel (Harrington) Allan, was born in Norfolk, Neb. She graduated from Moville (Iowa) High School, then attended Morningside College to receive her teaching certificate.

On March 12, 1949, Beverly was united in marriage to Russell Kehrberg, and two daughters were born to this union. Beverly and Russell later divorced.

Beverly taught country school around Anthon and Kingsley, Iowa, and worked at Zenith Radio and Donnelly Marketing in Sioux City. For many years, she was a bartender at Swede's Lounge, and prior to retirement she worked as a classroom aide at Western Iowa Tech Community College in the general education diploma classroom.

Beverly was a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church and was a member of the Eagles Club in Sioux City, where she served as auxiliary president.

Beverly is survived by two daughters, Pat Kingsley of Auburn, Wash., and Barbara (Dennis) Bell of Sioux City; grandchildren, Jessica Maldonado (Derek Sasabuchi) of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Russell Bell (Angela Clayton) of Milford, Iowa, Robert (Michelle) Bell of Norristown, Pa., and Mark (Rachel) Conwell of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Rebekah Bell, Navaeh Bell, Kelton Bell and Olivia Sasabuchi; sisters, Jean (George) Mason of Blanchester, Ohio, Janet Wakeman of Hawarden, Iowa, and Karen (Kenn) Vaul of Sioux City; brother, George Allan of Moville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Allan.
