HARTINGTON, Neb. | A man was found dead inside his Cedar County Jail cell Tuesday morning.
The Cedar County Sheriff’s Office reported Frank Potts Jr., of Bloomfield, Neb., was found at 12:48 a.m. Tuesday unconscious and unresponsive in his cell.
Potts, 52, had been arrested at 10:15 p.m. Monday on suspicion of refusal of a chemical test, driving under the influence of alcohol and resisting arrest.
Hartingon Emergency Medical Services responded to the jail, but attempts to revive Potts were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead, the sheriff's office said in a release.
The incident remains under investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
