A 35 percent corporate tax rate means absolutely nothing when the law has so many loopholes that not one corporation pays the full rate. Any corporate in-house book cooker worth his salt can knock the actual paid rate down to practically nothing.

The actual paid rate by corporations at this point is averaging out to 14 percent. The big corporations with industrial-strength shysters warming the books don't pay a dime. How much cheaper can it get? - Jerry J. Kobs, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa
