CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (AP) -- A drug dealer from this eastern Iowa city was sentenced in federal court to life in prison for dealing crack cocaine.
Jahmal Green, 31, was sentenced earlier this week after pleading guilty in June to dealing crack within 1,000 feet of a protected location. Court records showed he sold the drug on more than one occasion to a confidential informant near Coe College in Cedar Rapids.
Prior to this conviction, Green was convicted six times of felony drug offenses in Minnesota and Illinois, court records show.
He also was sentenced to a 10-year period of supervised release in the event he ever gets out of prison.
