SIOUX CITY | Siouxlanders should get used to sunny skies, dry conditions and pleasant temperatures.
The area will finish August and enter September in a stable weather pattern featuring clear skies, high temperatures around 80 degrees and no rain. Lows will be in the 50s.
Some valleys and low-lying areas are experiencing fog this morning, and a fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. By 8 a.m., fog was already clearing in some of those areas, said Janice Maldonado, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.
Maldonado said Siouxland should see no direct impact from Hurricane Harvey, which has dumped more than 2 feet of rain in the Houston area since Friday. The storm is not expected to lead to increased humidity or chances of rain in the area.
