Many of us get the monthly local school calendar of events/activities. Have you noticed the December calendar renamed the break for Christmas, calling it "winter break." Really? Our schools are allowing a break for winter? I'm not sure that is really being honest.
I was told by a school administrator they can't use the word "Christmas" or the school would be sued by an anti-religion group. It sounds like someone is getting bullied.
There are a number of legal firms who will represent schools for free on cases like this. A resolution for the new year could be to work on being more honest and to fight against being bullied. - Roger L. Wilson, Moville, Iowa
