Shesler Hall, a long-term transitional residence for homeless women with chronic mental health conditions that has operated for decades, is closing its doors permanently Dec. 30.
"Starting this April, we're not closing anymore. We're going to be open 365 days a year, 24/7," Sioux City Warming Shelter Board President Joe Twidwell said. He said the budget will need to be at least $800,000 to keep doors open year-round.
