SIOUX CITY | Since opening a few months ago, M's on 4th's recent additions of more steak and seafood options have been a hit.

"We have had amazing feedback on the steak, and seafood as well with shrimp and salmon," co-owner Dan Myers said. "Every night we have started a 'Fresh Catch' that changes daily... that has gone over very well. All of the additions have gone over wonderfully."

Starting Jan. 1 Myers said they have also kicked off a daily happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and live entertainment on Thursdays which people have enjoyed, as well.  

Myers, and his business partner Vernon Meyer, purchased the iconic Italian restaurant Luciano's last year at 1019 Fourth St. Named after the start of the owner's last names and general manager Melis Spencer, M's on 4th opened to offer a redecorated dining room, an airy wine shop and Italian, American, and Mediterranean dishes, and spirits.

Myers said business from new and repeat Luciano's customers have been good since reopening, but they have had an even better end to 2016 and start to the new year.  

"We had a great holiday season," he said. "Since the holidays, we have been very very busy. That whole week between Christmas and New Years was packed. We were pumping."

Myers said the most popular dishes patrons enjoy are the Pasta Rosa and Lobster Papardelle. The Pasta Rosa combines Italian spiced sausage, shrimp and chicken over penne pasta and is topped with a fire-roasted tomato marinara and vodka cream sauce. The Lobster Papardelle has rag pasta tossed with sweet spring peas, fresh dill, and chunks of lobster in a lobster white wine cream sauce.

The restaurant's winter hours are Tuesday to Thursday 4-9 p.m. and closes at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
