Bandits outscore Stampede in preseason game


SIOUX CITY | Two Bandits quarterbacks threw for three touchdowns in a 39-12 win over the Stampede in a preseason match up of Sioux City professional football squads at Tyson Events' Center Saturday evening before a crowd of 2.879.

Liam Nadler hooked up with Andre London for a 9-yard TD pass in the first quarter to give that Bandits a 7-0 lead. The only other scoring before the intermission were a pair of field goals by the Bandits' Greg Conry from 46 and 52 yards.

Ty Oakes tossed a pair of touchdown passes in the second half for the Bandits, hitting Frederick Bruno from 21 yards and Trayon Nash from 13 yards. Dontaye Rivera also scored on a 6-yard run for the Bandits.

The Stampede scored on a 31-yard interception return by Mike Trobaugh and a 5-yard touchdown pass by T.J. James.

The Bandits open up the regular season March 18 hosting the Quad City SteamWheelers.
