LYTTON, Iowa -- Pocahontas pitcher Christian Davidson threw a three-hitter, walked three and struck out eight to lead his team to a 9-2 win over South Central Calhoun on Wednesday.
Jace Davidson went 3 fo 5 with a double and two runs scored, Chase Boeve had two hits and drove in three. Trey Oehlertz added three RBIs.
Pocahontas is now 11-5 on the season.

SB-L 3, STORM LAKE 0: Nick Muller pitched a two-hit shutout as the No. 8 (3A) Sergeant Bluff-Luton baseball team blanked Storm Lake 3-0 in a nonconference game on Tuesday in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Muller walked two batters and struck out five for SB-L (12-4). Carter Schumacher went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and Sean Owens had a double and an RBI.
Brayden Hoops and Kayfrin Pelep both had singles, the lone hits for Storm Lake (8-4).
NORTH 7-9, ABRAHAM LINCOLN 6-8: The Sioux City North baseball team won a pair of games in walk-off fashion against Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln in a Missouri River Activities Conference doubleheader on Tuesday in Sioux City.
North won the first game 7-6 with Tyler Kjose earning the win. Kjose pitched a complete game and allowed seven hits and struck out seven batters, in addition to hitting a two-run homer from the plate.
Hudson Krommenhoek scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch.
Aaron Eybers went 3-for-4 and Trent Frerichs went 2-for-3. Krommenhoek and Tyrell Blakey both went 2-for-4.
North (8-5, 7-3) won the second game 9-8 in eight innings. Hunter Kromenhoek had the game-winning hit to score Eybers. Hunter Kromenhoek went 4-for-5 and Frerichs went 2-for-4.
Trevor Haase had two hits for Abraham Lincoln (7-10, 5-7).
