WOODBRIDGE, Va. (AP) -- Joan Baez allowed just three hits over seven innings, leading the Potomac Nationals over the Buies Creek Astros in a 2-0 win on Thursday.

Baez (3-5) picked up the win after he struck out four and walked three.

Potomac scored its runs when Alec Keller hit an RBI single in the fourth inning and David Masters hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

Tyler Ivey (0-1) went five innings, allowing two runs and three hits in the Carolina League game. He also struck out three and walked one. Jordan Mills retired the side in order for his sixth save of the season.

The Astros were blanked for the fourth time this season, while the Nationals' staff recorded their fourth shutout of the year.
