ALLENTOWN, Pa. (AP) -- Dean Anna had two hits and two RBI, and Ben Lively allowed just six hits over seven innings as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs defeated the Pawtucket Red Sox 8-1 on Thursday.

Lively (2-2) allowed one run while striking out five to pick up the win.

Lehigh Valley started the scoring in the first inning when Adron Chambers hit an RBI single and Joey Meneses scored on an error.

The IronPigs later added five runs in the second and one in the fourth to put the game away.

Josh A. Smith (0-2) went 1 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs and eight hits in the International League game. He also struck out one and walked two.

Lehigh Valley improved to 8-3 against Pawtucket this season.
