STERLING, Kan. | Tabor used a 17-3 run in the second quarter to break open a 14-point halftime lead and went on to defeat Briar Cliff 57-45 in a women's college basketball game at the Warrior Classic Saturday.

The Chargers played to a 17-17 tie after one quarter but but were doomed by an 0-for-19 shooting effort on 3-point shots. Logan Ehlers scored a double-double for Briar Cliff (2-3) with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Taylor Wagner had 13 points. The Chargers jump into Great Plains Athletic Conference play at Doane Wednesday.
