SIOUX CITY | Tyler Borchers scored 15 points as the sixth-ranked (NAIA) and top-seeded Morningside men’s basketball team routed No. 18 and fourth-seeded Dakota Wesleyan 89-59 in the semifinals of the Great Plains Athletic Conference tournament here Saturday.
Matthew Hahn and Zach Imig both finished with 14 points for the Mustangs (25-6). Brody Egger had 12 points and Andrew Semadeni added 10.
Aaron Ahmadu led Dakota Wesleyan (22-10) with 15 points. Collin Kramer scored 14 points and Jason Spicer added 10.

Morningside outrebounded the Tigers 34-21. Both teams committed 17 turnovers, but the Mustangs turned those turnovers into 26 points while Dakota Wesleyan had just seven.
Morningside made 34 of 55 field goals (.618), including 14 of 26 3-pointers (.538).
Morningside hosts No. 11 and third-seeded Northwestern in the championship game of the GPAC tournament on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
