MIDLAND, Neb. | Midland came back from a nine-point halftime deficit to hand Morningside an 85-75 setback in a Great Plains Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday.
The contest wrapped up the regular season for both teams and they will square again off in the first round of the GPAC post season tournament here Wednesday evening at 7.
Midland (21-8, 13-5 GPAC) was led by Diamontae McKinley who scored a game-high 27 points while Alex Starkel added 20, all but four coming in the second half.
Bryce Koch had 20 points to lead the Mustangs (20-9, 10-8) while Brody Egger had 14 and Alex Borchers 10.
The Mustangs led by as much 11 after the break but the Warriors took the lead for good with just over 10 minutes to go on a 3-pointer by Chase Parsons.
