USD practice football field begins to take shape
VERMILLION, S.D. | The DakotaDome renovation has begun with the first phase of the practice football field breaking ground earlier this week.
The facility, being constructed north of the DakotaDome, is anticipated to be completed in November of this year. A side practice field allows for ample space among all position groups while two video towers provide state-of-the-art filming capabilities. The permanent structures will connect to video editing systems inside the DakotaDome, providing a streamlined process.
The 120-yard artificial turf playing surface gives the Coyote football team the ability to practice in the DakotaDome for games played indoors or in the elements for outdoor contests.
