FARMERS BRANCH, Texas | South Dakota’s women’s golf team improved to sixth place in the final round of the Bradley Spring Break Invitational Tuesday, finishing with a three-round, two-day total of 939 at Brookhaven Country Club.
Abby Dufrane paced South Dakota with a 227 (79, 72, 76) and tied with Illinois State’s Caitlin Sims for fifth place. Dufrane tallied a 76 in the final round and sported the tournament’s second-most pars in the field with 26 over 54 holes.
Lexi Petersen finished tied for eighth with a 229 for the Coyotes. Coach Nick Hovden’s squad was also represented by Katie Bartlett (236), Jennifer Vincent (247) and Julia Hall (255).
South Dakota is next in action at the Northern Arizona Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz., March 24-25.
