SIOUX CITY -- Led by the medalist and the runner-up, Bishop Heelan captured the MRAC golf title at Green Valley Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Crusaders defended their team title by shooting 326 while East was the runner-up with a 340 and Sergeant Bluff-Luton took third with a 345. North was fourth with a 361 and West was seventh with a 420.
Both Jackson Thompson and Jackson Sitzmann shot 78 for the Crusaders and went to a playoff to decided the medalist. After both scored the same on the first hole, it was Thompson that pared No. 9 while Sitzmann carded a bogey to break the tie and give Thompson medalist honors.
Heelan had the top three finishers on the day as Zach Uhl earned third with an 81. Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln's Brenden Foote was fourth with an 82 and Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson's Nathan Newton finished fifth with an 83.

East was led by Gavin Gote and Ethan Spier who both shot 84 and Drake Anderson had an 85. The Warriors were paced by Schuyler Warren and Jacob Massey both carded 85.
North saw Nick Opsahl shoot 85 and Jackson Wynn carded 83 while West was led by Matt Elgert's 94.
The top 12 golfers earned all-conference honors.
