DES MOINES | Cody Ott and Albert Pham each recorded two individual victories while leading the Sioux City boys swimming team to a first-place 397 points at Saturday’s Husky Bear Invitational held at Des Moines Hoover High School.
Ott posted triumphs in both the 200 individual medley (2:16.25) and the 100 freestyle (52.47). Pham won both the 50 freestyle (23.34) and the 100 breaststroke (1:04.26).
Ott and Pham both swam on the first-place 200 medley (1:46.45) and the 200 freestyle (1:39.67) relays. Owen Hoak and Cole Zimmerman were also featured on both relays.
Zimmerman was clocked in 1:00.31 while winning the 100 butterfly. Noah Winkel was timed in 1:05.85 while winning the 100 backstroke.
Zimmerman also competed on Sioux City’s first-place 400 freestyle relay. The foursome also included Spencer Kakacek, Taylor Bauer and Jake Brown.
Storm Lake’s Cole Keenan finished first in the 200 freestyle (2:06.32).
Sioux City will compete at Spencer on Monday.
