OMAHA | Sioux City East finished second at the Omaha Roncali Invite on Saturday with 137.5 points trailing just Fremont's 154.5. South Sioux City finished in seventh with 71.5 points.
Sean Heeney picked up East's only title as he pinned Bellevue East's Daniel DeRosier in 1:13 at 113 pounds.
Kamron Bergenske finished as the runner-up at 106 as he was pinned by Omaha Benson's Quentin Donald in 1:38. Angel Morales also took second at 138 falling to Omaha Benson's Curtez Riley by pin in 5:30. Eric Steele was the third Black Raider to take second when Omaha Northwest's Brennen Smith earned a 13-1 major decision at 145.
Dawson DeBell took third at 170 with a sudden victory win and Rafe McClendon and Drew Walters took fourth at 120 and 182, respectively.
South Sioux's Izzy Miranda took second at 126 when he fell to Belleve East's Caelan Hester 9-5 in the final. Luis Quezada finished as the runner-up at 195 when he was pinned by Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln's Javier Herta in 59 seconds.
Aman Dean took fourth for SSC at 145 and Jacob Ngeleka took fourth at 285.
