My fair baby
CONCORD, Neb. -- Talk about a blue ribbon baby.
Mother and daughter were reportedly doing fine the day after a 911 dispatcher helped a woman give birth at the Dixon County fairgrounds last week.
Dixon County Sheriff's Office dispatcher Cyndi Koeppe receive a 911 call from a carnival worker at the fair shortly after 9 a.m. July 31. The man on the phone said his girlfriend was starting to give birth at the fairgrounds.
Sara Kumm, a dispatcher and EMT, talked the man and woman through the birthing procedure while Koeppe dispatched the Allen (Neb.) Rescue and Dixon Rescue units to the fairgrounds in Concord.
Everything reportedly occurred in less than 25 minutes.
Koeppe told The Journal on July 1 that she believed everyone involved was doing fine.
