Siouxlanders can experience the exclusivity associated with a big city spa in their own backyard when they visit Ave' Medical Laser Spa in Sioux City.

The decor at Ave' Medical Laser Spa is soothing with a private, inviting reception area furnished with a fireplace and a TV with before and after pictures of any treatments they are interested in, a small room for one-on-one consultations, a large dressing room stocked with plush white robes and slippers, and three comfortable, private and pampering treatment rooms. Acne treatment: Includes extractions of blackheads and acne, a chemical peel or microdermabrasion, and Blue Light Therapy, used to treat acne and Rosacea. Approved by the Food and Drug Administration in August 2002, Blue Light Therapy exposes patients to a blue light source for 15 minutes twice a week for four weeks. The laser light treatment kills the bacteria that cause acne. Without these bacteria present, acne clears up rapidly.

Microdermabrasion: Medical microdermabrasion is a treatment designed to make skin look younger, softer and more radiant. It can clean pores and hinder acne breakouts. The best part of the treatment is that it is painless and has no "downtime," which means that you can have microdermabrasion during your lunch hour and return to work in the afternoon.

Chemical peels: Chemical peels, also known as chemical resurfacing, are chemical treatments to produce an improved facial appearance. Chemical peels are used to treat photoaging (caused by sun damage), wrinkles, scarring, acne, precancerous lesions, and dyschromia (discoloration). Chemical peels produce a controlled injury to the skin that promotes the growth of new skin with an improved appearance. Great results are seen from chemical peels, Hoesing said.

Spider Vein removal: A laser applied to the surface of the skin delivers pulses of energy to spider veins, causing the blood within to coagulate. Eventually, the spider veins shrink and are reabsorbed by the body. Laser therapy for spider vein removal is noninvasive and usually takes only three treatments. Spider veins, which are tiny, visible veins just under the surface of the skin, begin to fade just a few days after the initial treatment, with results improving after additional treatments. Laser resurfacing: Lasers add another dimension for the treatment of skin diseases. Laser Photo rejuvenation: Photorejuvenation uses laser light (also called Intense Pulsed Light or IPL) to remove the first few layers of skin to get rid of the hyperpigmented areas and reveal clear, lighter skin underneath.
