Mercy Medical Services, a partner with Mercy Medical
Center-Sioux City, has announced that Steven Joyce, M.D., a Sioux
City physician who specializes in internal medicine and pediatrics,
will join Mercy on June 2.
Most recently, Dr. Joyce was in clinical practice with the
Family Practice Center in Sioux City.
Effective Monday, Dr. Joyce will serve internal medicine and
pediatric patients at a new specialty clinic, the Mercy Internal
Medicine and Pediatric Clinic, located in the North Hospital
Building at Mercy Medical Center. The clinic will be located at the
hospital's Jones Street entrance, where valet parking is
available.
Dr. Joyce is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of
Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his residency at the University
of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, N.Y.
In addition to seeing internal medicine and pediatric patients
at Mercy, Dr. Joyce will also serve as the hospital system's
Medical Director of Clinical Informatics and its Chief Medical
Informatics Officer.

Another specialty clinic, Mercy Internal Medicine, will continue
to operate in Mercy's North Hospital Building. Dale Holdiman, M.D.
and David Lucke, M.D. serve the patients of that clinic.
In all, Mercy currently owns or manages 29 family practice
clinics, nine specialty clinics, and four rural hospitals in
western Iowa and eastern Nebraska.
