Searching for the right college experience may take time and
effort. Wayne State College has created a few options that allow
families to get an early start helping college-bound high school
students with a Just Juniors event on Nov. 18, Fridays @ WSC events
throughout the year or individual campus visits.
"These events are designed to inform both students and parents
about Wayne State. We are a strong choice for all students in
Nebraska and the region. Both programs are a great way to use
valuable time in the process because our staff and faculty members
can provide answers for families gathered in one room for an event.
We hope families will take advantage of these opportunities for
help in all aspects of their college decision process," said Kevin
Halle, Associate Director of Admissions
Families can relax, spend time together and still learn about
applying for admission, exploring scholarship options and filing
for financial aid in a friendly atmosphere.
"Just Juniors" provides a convenient opportunity to gather
information on academic programs, tour the campus, attend a session
about financial aid and scholarships, learn more about WSC student
services and extracurricular activities, talk with students and
faculty and participate in a free ACT preparation workshop in one
day. Reservations must be made for the ACT workshop as space is
limited. While students attend the workshop, a parent session will
be offered.
An opportunity to meet with current students, visit academic
areas of their choice and dine in the WSC cafeteria, Fridays @ WSC
provides high school seniors and their parents with a variety of
activities and information.
Fridays @ WSC are scheduled for:
Oct. 13, 20, and 27; Nov. 3 & 17; Dec. 8; Jan. 26; Feb. 9,
16, & 19; March 16 & 30; April 13.
