For more than a decade, Heath Weber had been eyeing the four-bedroom, three-bathroom home that he stumbled upon on his way to the East High School homecoming parade. Then he spotted a for-sale sign.
The business of home-building was robust in Sioux City in 2019, a building leader said; 79 permits were issued for single-family dwellings. "We get phone calls daily for somebody looking to do remodeling, or fix a house," she said.Â
Cathy Habermann, who releases roughly 30 cross-stitch designs a year, said there is increased demand for her patterns amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.
