The Briar Cliff women's volleyball team defeated Waldorf 3-2 Wednesday night in Forest City, Iowa. BCU took the match 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 17-25, 15-11 to improve to 10-3 overall and 1-1 in GPAC play.
The Chargers opened the match strong, taking the first set 25-17. After Waldorf held an early 9-6 advantage, Briar Cliff rallied to tie the set at 9-9 before taking control. The Chargers pushed ahead 18-15 and closed the opening frame on a 7-2 run to take a 1-0 lead.

Emma Brenelli led the Charger attack with a match-high 14 kills, while Aliyah Basham added 11 kills and Brooklyn Voss recorded nine kills while hitting .444. Alexis Even contributed nine kills, and Aubrey Hoeft added five kills and a team-high seven block assists.
Mia Torchia paced the offense with 28 assists, while Reese Strouth added 16 assists. Defensively, Ireland Jackson recorded a match-high 17 digs. Korbin Olorndami followed with 16. The Chargers finished with 77 digs and 26 total blocks.
