When the new owners of a mid-century modern home began the restoration and remodeling process nearly four years ago, they turned to Amy Macfarlane, whose work touched every room and added fresh colors and new styles throughout.
“Someday you’re just going to have to do it,” my dentist said. I took care of those babies like crazy. Sure, it felt like I had teeth near my ears, but they hung in there. And then? One chipped tooth reframed the whole discussion.
Breezy Struthers Drake compares kitchens, one of the biggest ticket items, to shopping for a car. You can be more frugal and purchase a basic sedan or break the bank with luxury. "For just cabinetry, it's anywhere from $8,000 to ..." she trailed off.
Liz Determan said she and her husband were honored to have their home, which they have lived in for four years, featured on the tour. Roughly 10 years ago, the family mentored a Little Brother through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Siouxland.
